Use of Stockfish mid-match in the CWC

Yes, I basically agree with lovlas. There shouldn't be limitations in regards of preparation between rounds.
@lovlas @MagicAndy so what is your answer to the question of whether you think timeouts should be allowed to be called for this purpose. Or loading up a previous game WHILE playing the current one. Moreover, is the latter even allowed under lichess site rules?
As long as the rules allow 10min breaks every 2 games I don't see a problem with the player using it as they wish.
I agree with lovlas as well, who cares what a player does, what does it matter as long as they dont cheat. In the middle of a match vs someone I look at the last game see what went wrong or right.
In general, I think it is folly to try to legislate what you cannot enforce. However, you can use the match structure to nudge behavior towards desirable outcomes.

Requiring that the games in a match be played continuously is good for spectators. It also minimizes mid-match prep time without declaring analysis illegal. I don't think we need to codify what counts as "played continuously," but the point is that a shot clock is easily enforceable; an honor code is not.

Players also need to be able call timeout for many different reasons (technical difficulties, family, nature). They should be allowed to spend that time however they like. I think one break per player per match seems sufficient but the number is debatable.
In my opinion what would be really great is if the tournament structure was programed into lichess.

For example, FischyVishy would go to set up a tournament. He opens up a menu...
number of games = 10
selects "games played continuously"
time between games = 20 seconds with countdown
number of timeouts per player = 1
length of timeout = 10 mins

There could be a button that both players would have to click if they agreed to suspend the match and in a really perfect world the results would auto-report.

But it is easy to dream, harder to program. That is why I am a carpenter.
@FischyVishy Oops, you’re right! I was kind of disgruntled when I wrote my earlier comment. I retract that comment. I change my position to agree with lovlas, who raises some very good points.
@lovlas Of course players can do what they like in breaks but that wasn't the question under discussion. It was whether players should be allowed to call breaks for this reason and whether they should be allowed to check a previous game WHILE starting the next one. If we don't want this, there could be a change in the rules to say breaks are not allowed and discouraged except in an emergency and should be as quick as possible. The 10 minutes every 2 games rule could be changed if there were a consensus against it. As spectators it would be bad and as players it would be annoying and would also feel a lot like cheating if these breaks were used a lot.
I raised this issue on stream and NikolasTheiss aka Atrophied said he wished he could have done that in his crazyhouse world championship match last year against xuanet. The fact is he didn't presumably because it would have felt to him like cheating to peek at a previous game in a match situation.
