Crypto-Currency

Wanted to start a thread for anyone that is interested in it. I've ran into a couple people here - so thought I'd see how many others are into it.

My buddy started a new exchange... he's put a huge amount of time and money into it. If you're interested in the technical details, feel free to ask.

coingather.com (There's a new design on the way)

I made a few bucks back when MEC was big... well, everything was big.

Don't forget to mention that cryptocurrency are based around a ponzi scheme, always the ones that are entering in early and getting crypto currency is taking the chance of having older investors dumping CC for real life money, resulting in the newcomers losing their money, probably definitely if the cryptocurrency never recovers from it's original state, there are cryptocurrency with other systems but they don't seem to be popular or they are but only for a short while, I would never work for receiving a salary in cryptocurrency knowing that the value could sky dive any moment rendering my 1 month many hours work almost free.
The only comment I can think of to reply to that is; as with anything in life, do your research. Everything has a certain risk associated.

As far as the ponzi scheme idea... again, this requires some investigation into what crypto-currency you would invest in. Like anything new - a company or currency definitely has a chance to fail. You need to do your due diligence in understanding what they represent, how they work, and what their goals are, before you decide it's worth investing. I decided MegaCoin was a good investment, and I got out before it dropped back down. It's not dissimilar to the stock market. Just more volatile.
