"I often play in tournaments on mobile (Android), and I don't think there is a chat interface for the tournament lobby, but you can chat in individual games.
Am I missing something or is this a feature yet to be implemented?"

It would be very nice if the tournament chat was accessible from mobile. I think a big part of community engagement here is via tournament chats.
I don't see why the chat could not be added directly above or below the featured game on mobile.
