Playing the Petroff

ChessAnalysisOpening
Repertoire for Black
My new job: Playing the Petroff. In this work, I defend the blacks. I myself have been playing the Petroff since 2020 thanks to the book by the Indian grandmaster Svapnil Dhopad. But time passed, a number of stockfish versions changed, so it was necessary to refresh the theory in this opening. In this work, I reconsidered my views on some positions and, it seems to me, I chose slightly more complex lines so that I could play for a win in the long term. Yes, there really is nothing wrong with playing the Russian game against weaker players, of course, provided that the playing technique is good
The Petroff has a reputation for being a boring opening, but in my opinion it is not. Petrov is played by such strong grandmasters as: Nepomniachtchi, Caruana, Duda, Abdusattorov. First of all, this opening is easy to learn. There is not much theory in it. The second is that it has reliability. But even Black is not averse to playing for a win, for example, Grandmaster Paravyan does it with great pleasure.
The following lines have been analyzed:
