Should you take a queen for a queen in chess ?

StrategyTactics
When should you trade a queen ?

The queen is the most powerful piece in the game of chess. It can move any number of squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally , combining the powers of the rook and bishop. So, is trading a queen for an opponent's queen good or bad for your situation ?

It isn't a sacrifice, it's an exchange, and it depends on the position. But it also depends on the player you're facing, and why you are thinking about that exchange ? If you are defending, trading queens might be a good thinking. If your advantages are static (like material, pawn structure, or they have a very bad minor piece) then it's usually better to trade queens.
