Why did this game end in a draw? Black ran out of time. It wasn't a 3 move repetition, nor was it the 50 move rule.

We get it, White needs to learn how to checkmate. :)
Let’s say there was no clock. If you were white, then you would probably move your rook anywhere, or probably check the black king with your knight. Black basically moves to h7, but has nowhere to go, so you might want to free up some space for the king to move. You’ll go in the same position. Nothing changes.

It didn't. Black's time ran out.
Kh8 was the last move by black, so it did count. White didnt make a move in the remaining 5.7 seconds, so his time run out. Because black has not enough material, its draw
