Old "Lobby" version suits my needs better

Hi!

First, I have to tell that this site is the best chess website on the internet! And thanks to all of you behind this site, you work hard to give us the chance to play against many players around the world, for free!

That said, you've recently changed the way we can seek for match. But the new way is some kind of, let say, "not useful" (for me, at least). On the older version, I used to see my own seek, and all the others that fits my "formula". That way, I can see many other match offers, which I can click on, even if my seek still valid (I use to play and seek for 3 0 blitz, but also click on bullet offers sometimes; also click on 3 0 blitz with colour preferences from the players). But in the new version, this seems impossible to do.

So, maybe theres is a way to do it, a way that I can not find out. If so, please tell me how to use the "Lobby" the "old" way.

Just use the "Lobby" tab on the front page of lichess.

Yeah but the moment you make a game offer, you can't go to the lobby anymore and vice versa. I agree with AbdominousBishop, the old system was way better.

You can open another tab with lichess in it and see the lobby that way. I think this new feature will probably be awesome in the longrun, but it seems like it was thrown out a bit prematurely. But as somebody once told me.. 'if you wait until you're happy with [a software release], you've waited too long.' Still don't think I agree with that philosophy, but it is what it is!

I think if they're not going to have the pools have their own ratings then they should merge the UI. Have buttons for auto-pool games and a listing of all current 'manual games' on the same page.

I haven't used any sites with pools but a variance of 300 rating points seems excessive

Yeah this was the worst idea ever. Whoever implemented this is literally retarded. This isn't a good idea now and it definitely won't be in the long run. Nothing was wrong. There was nothing to improve on or fix. I don't *want* to be in a pool. I want to put my seek up and see it with the rest of the seeks like I always could before. How could you guys think people would like this? Nobody seems to.

Let's not be stubborn guys. I understand a few members of the dev team thought this was a good idea but they were simply having a brain fart. As you see from the forums, the community as a whole does NOT want this. If you're going to implement features simply because a couple of droolers out of the entire community want them that way, you're going to lose a ton of support. Tons. You're just burning this place up that way.

I think this is a nice feature, big thanks to the Lichess team!
Adding a range for the autoparring would be great.
And it would be nice if we can stay in the Lobby and place a game (like before) without autoparring.

If you think this is a "nice feature" you really don't understand how it works at all. It's asinine and it just broke the entire seek/rating system.
