Is this a mistake?

Maybe, I am understanding the situation here. Is it just a coincidence that #9 was a few minutes after #8? Was #9 actually a reaction to #1? Anyway, thanks to asdago for thinking about this.
@kindaspongey said in #1:

The link you posted prop allowed people to download the book for free and thus is not allowed
else idk since i dont see a link
Indeed you were only sharing a link to a pdf website with 5-10 pages of the book, you didnt talk about libgen.is or sci-hub.whatever :)
Web.archive - wayback machine - is all over the wikipedia

I assume it could be a bot behavoiur - found a pdf and that pdf had a book but maybe a human in error
At this point, I am not sure if there is anything to appeal. As far as I know, lichess is not currently contemplating any action against me. I just wanted to correct post #3 (here) that described me as doing something that I did not do. If #9 (at lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/the-book-grandmaster-preparation-positional-play ) was actually a reaction to what was #1 (at lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/the-book-grandmaster-preparation-positional-play ), then (as far as I know) there is no problem between lichess and me.
The moderators who field appeals are the same ones that left the confusing message. So they can answer the question easiest, whether or not you have anything to appeal.
But this (Lichess feedback forum) is the right place to ask for clarification about general policies, isn't it?
Books are often (if not all) copyrighted material and one can't get free version. But if someone puts the whole actual book online, that's digital piracy.
I am sure the mod was talking to OP in that thread.
And @kindaspongey make sure that the original content, whose reference you use to quote about is not copyrighted.
On a different platform, I was quoting (pretty long) from a science related book and got notification from server that my comment was deleted because it breached the policy.
